Mini-review:

Wow, The Bear has done it again. This was one sublime season of television. Every single thing about it is spectacular, from the directing and the writing to the acting and the editing. This show has managed to craft its own visual and oral language, and it feels pretty much revolutionary. I think every single episode left me at least a bit breathless, and even very breathless at some points. We're only two seasons in, but it's obvious that this is already one of the best shows all time, so do yourself a favor and watch it, if you haven't already.

Changes to the list (Baby Keller #3)

I forgot to add the changes to the list to the prediction post. So here they are nevertheless.

The list is the list that compares the place they stand on based on age to the place they are on based on family size.

Nurie stood on place #43, 17 places ahead for her age. With this pregnany added, she stands on place #38, 22 places ahead for her age.

Nathan stood on place #42, 3 places ahead for his age. With this pregnancy added, he now stands on place #37, 8 places ahead for his age.

Nurie moved higher in the top 10, ahead for their age. After Kendra, Lauren Duggar, Josie Balka, Alyssa Morton, Tori Smith and tie with Alyssa Webster. She did slow down a bit but who knows were she will end up if she is along these ladies.

They did move up quite some places, although it was quite a long time before they announced this pregnany compared to how fast they were expecting Newman after Nehemiah. Mini-review:

What an impressive first season. The writing is brilliant, the directing is fiery and the acting is showstopping. It gets better with every episode and the last two are outright masterpieces. Episode 7 in particular blew me away with that 18-minute single-take scene, which was just exhilarating. Also, as someone who watched Shameless for a long time, I already knew how incredible Jeremy Allen White was, but he once again managed to impress me here. And the rest of the cast is fire too, all the characters feel so real and natural. Tbh, this first season has a fairly closed ending that doesn't really require a continuation, but I'm very glad there's more coming. I'm looking forward to seeing what the writers come up with.

No matter how hard she tried, Abby couldn’t properly explain it. She couldn’t figure out what part Becca had in it all, but she was certain of one thing: whatever Jack Morton was up to, Rebecca Warren knew.

‘There’s just something about her,’ she admitted to Alyssa, her attention on the ceiling. They were sat, for once, in her dorm room. Alyssa was researching something for an essay, but Abby herself was contemplating their other issues. Order business wasn’t exactly the best thing to be discussing right now, but she couldn’t help it. And besides, Abby had put spells around her room to protect it. ‘She has to know something.’

‘Jack wouldn’t have told her,’ Alyssa said, with such conviction behind her voice, Abby was almost tempted to believe her.

She scoffed, shifted so she was laying on her stomach and could look at her best friend the right way up to show her disbelief. ‘You think he could hide anything from her? Have you heard them talking about each other? If I didn’t know better, I’d say there was some weird twin psychic thing going on between them.’

Alyssa snorted, shook her head as if to rid herself of the noise. ‘If he had,’ she said, her voice suddenly far more serious, ‘you know what we’d have to do.’

Abby deflated at that. She knew, and while she understood the precautions they took, it didn’t always make them that easy to bear.

‘What question you working on?’ she asked instead, rolling onto her back once more and hoping to distract her thoughts from Becca and Jack, and where they both fitted in to the mess that was currently eating away at their lives.

I can't even figure out who drew these? The frontispiece has a name but I can't read it fully, and I can't find any "Lawton" woodcut people whose first name starts with L. They're credited in the text of the book as "and others."
